Facts and forecasts: what we know about "Sochi Casino and Resort"

There’s little time left before the first parlor will be opened in "Krasnaya Polyana". Let’s remember familiar facts about "Sochi Casino and Resort" and learn the forecasts of experts.

1. The pre-opening of the parlor took place on December 24. It will have its first visitors on New Year’s Eve. Official release is scheduled for January 5. Except for casino, there will be 2 restaurants and 9 bars, a hotel, boutiques and a cabaret. The total area of the gambling zone reaches 4 000 m2.

2. The parlor is a reconstructed Olympic media center. The redesigning project belongs to the American bureau Steelman Partners which was managing construction of casinos in Las Vegas and Macao.

3. Domain LLC, the casino owner, is the only operator of Sochi gambling zone. The CEO of the company which was founded in 2015 is Mihail Danilov, the owner is Silverron International Company registered in Singapore.

4. Investments in the construction amount to 4 bln rubles. Owners are planning to cover their expenses in three years. The projected turnover of the parlor in 2017 should reach 4.6 bln rubes. A significant increase is expected during next two years.

5. The parlor will be able to have 2000 guests at a time. There are 569 slot machines and 70 gaming tables installed.

6. Casino is positioned as a parlor for wealthy clients – Russians and foreigners. It should help to turn "Krasnaya Polyana" into an all-season resort and eliminate the problem of infrastructure downtime during the low season.

7. In 2017 the budget of Krasnodar Krai will get 433 mln rubles of taxes from "Sochi Casino and Resort". At the moment there are 680 workplaces.

8. It is not planned to open other parlors in Sochi yet. Representatives of Domain LLC note that they have no plans for expanding the complex in the nearest future.

9. Independent experts believe that casino will pay for itself but more than three years are needed. Minimum five years of image-building programs will be needed to attract foreign clients. All this time there will be increase of no more than 2%.
